Starti Tutorial · Course 02

Turn every campaign into input for the next creative iteration

Course one turns an idea into publishable creative. This course continues the journey: connect media, publish assets, read results, validate patterns, and save the next move as an action.

01

What you will complete

One complete Publish → Results → Insights → Actions learning path.

02

Core skill

Start with facts, find a pattern, validate it with evidence, then decide what to do next.

0102

The product loop

Four modules turn each campaign into the next creative iteration

Creative is both the output of the loop and the input to its next turn. Publish, Results, Insights, and Actions complete the handoffs in between.

01

Creative

Create new assets or iterate from the previous round of evidence.

02

Publish

Send Starti-generated creative to authorized media accounts.

03

Results

What happened? Which creatives, campaigns, and metrics deserve attention?

04

Insights

Which creative patterns are associated with outcomes, and is the evidence sufficient and consistent?

05

Actions

Should the next move test, scale, refresh, or investigate?

Carry evidence into the next creative iteration
0103

A flexible starting point

You do not have to create or publish first—you can start with campaigns already running

If a customer already runs campaigns on Meta, TikTok, or Google Ads, they can connect existing accounts and pull accessible data directly into Results and Insights. Creatives without a Starti Publish relationship appear as Imported but still participate in performance analysis.

Path A · Start with creative production
Create or iterate in StartiPublish to connected media accounts
Path B · Start with campaigns already running
Connect existing media accountsPull existing creative and campaign data
Both paths join here

Results

Compare existing creatives, campaigns, metrics, trends, and signals.

Insights

Identify testable patterns through Tags, Findings, and Evidence.

Actions

Save the conclusion as a test, refresh, or creative-production plan.

0104

A reliable reading order

Spot a correlation. Validate it before you act.

01

1 · Scope

Confirm date, platform, and Ad Account first; every conclusion belongs to the applied scope.

02

2 · Result

Confirm metric definitions, aggregation unit, benchmark, and data quality.

03

3 · Evidence

Check sample quality, supporting creatives, counterexamples, and confounders.

04

4 · Action

Turn the conclusion into a testable hypothesis, target scope, and success metric.

0205

Chapter 02 · Connect & Publish

Before analysis begins, connect the creative and data flows

You understand the Performance loop and its flexible entry points. Now connect media accounts to the workspace and see how Publish creates a traceable media identity for Starti creative.

01

From Chapter 01

You know that Creative or Results can be the starting point and how the modules form a continuous loop.

02

By the end

You can connect and manage ad accounts, publish creative, and confirm whether the provider handoff succeeded.

0206

Prerequisite

One authorization opens two paths: media upload and performance data

Meta, Google Ads, and TikTok connections let you publish creative to selected accounts and query accessible campaign data in Results and Insights.

01

First connection

Use Connect in Onboarding Step 3, or Skip for now and return later.

02

Ongoing management

Account settings → Ad Accounts: Manage accounts, Reauthorize, or remove a connection.

03

Account scope

Only selected accounts that the current user can access enter reporting and creative sync.

0207

Account management

After connecting, choose which accounts participate in the workflow

01

Connect / Reauthorize

Authorization requests Video upload and Performance data; expired or under-permissioned accounts cannot be selected.

02

Manage accounts

Select READY / CONNECTED ad accounts under each connection and confirm.

03

Remove connection

Accounts under that connection stop being available for reporting or sync; historical records are not the same as live access.

Chapter 03 · Results

Once creative is running, use Results to establish a shared view of the facts

The account and creative flows are ready. Before searching for explanations, establish the creatives, campaigns, metrics, trends, and states within one applied scope.

01

From Chapter 02

Ad accounts are connected, Starti creative can gain identity through Publish, and existing provider creative can enter analysis as Imported data.

02

By the end

You can query and expand Results and correctly interpret aggregated metrics, Trends, Performance Signals, and Creative Tags.

0311

Results · Query

Define the applied scope before comparing creatives

Date, Platform, and Ad Account use a two-stage Draft / Applied model. Editing does not query immediately; Apply moves the table, campaign breakdown, trends, and signals to the new scope together.

01

Date

Default: Last 30 complete days, excluding today's partial provider data.

02

Platform

Multi-select Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and configured Other Networks.

03

0313

Results · Metrics

Additive metrics sum; rates and costs recompute from total numerators and denominators

01

Delivery

Spend, Impressions, Clicks: investment and delivery opportunity.

02

Efficiency

CTR = Clicks / Impressions; CPM, CPC, and Cost / complete use aggregate totals.

03

Video views

Starts, 25% / 50% / 75% / 100%; Completion rate = 100% views / Starts.

04

Missing ≠ zero

A zero denominator returns an unavailable reason—not 0, Infinity, or a frontend guess.

0315

Performance Signal · Meaning

A Signal is a deterministic status for the current scope—not an AI score or an Action

01

Winner

Positive effect versus the comparable cohort benchmark, with sufficient confidence and subgroup consistency.

02

Scaling

Delivery is growing materially while outcome remains at benchmark and has not degraded beyond tolerance.

03

Fatigue

The primary metric has declined materially versus the adjacent prior period while delivery remains comparable.

04

Watch

None of the above: near benchmark, insufficient sample, mixed direction, or incomplete data. It is not automatically negative.

P08Performance Signal rationaleMetric, benchmark, and rationale for Winner / Scaling / Watch / Fatigue.
0316

Performance Signal · Calculation

Signals compare three references: current, prior period, and comparable benchmark

01

Effect

direction × (Current − Benchmark) / |Benchmark|; cost metrics reverse direction so positive always means improvement.

02

Period change

direction × (Current − Previous) / |Previous|; Previous is adjacent, equal-length, and uses the same complete-day policy.

03

Delivery change

(Current delivery − Previous delivery) / |Previous delivery|; CTR uses Impressions, Completion uses Video starts.

04

Confidence

Combines sample strength, subgroup consistency, temporal stability, and data quality; it is an evidence-quality score, not a probability.

0317

Performance Signal · Rules

Fatigue → Scaling → Winner → Watch: return only the most specific state

01

Fatigue

Compare with the adjacent equal-length prior period first. Fatigue requires meaningful outcome decline, comparable delivery, and sufficient evidence quality and subgroup consistency.

02

Scaling

When delivery is growing materially while outcome remains at the comparable benchmark and prior-period degradation stays within tolerance, classify it as Scaling.

03

Winner

When current outcome clears the metric-specific positive materiality threshold versus its comparable cohort, with sufficient confidence and directional consistency, classify it as Winner.

04

Watch

Everything else becomes Watch, including near-benchmark results, mixed direction, insufficient sample, or limited data quality. Use the rationale to see what needs more observation.

0318

Results · Creative Tags

Tags describe analyzable creative features; they do not prove those features caused the result

01

Video-level

Format, Duration, Primary message, CTA, Tone, Product focus.

02

Audio-level

Chapter 04 · Insights

Results tells you what happened; Insights validates which patterns deserve attention

You have a reliable view of performance. Now bring Creative Tags and outcomes into the same analysis scope, using Findings, Explore, and Evidence to separate testable patterns from noise.

01

From Chapter 03

You have confirmed scope, creative and campaign composition, metric trends, Signal rationale, and Creative Tags.

Insights · Findings

Findings are the 0–3 most important patterns that pass statistical rules

The Finding Engine scans allowed Tag dimensions and outcome metrics across the full scope, validates sample, effect, stability, and data quality, then uses AI for controlled presentation and an Action suggestion. AI does not decide the numbers, eligibility, or Top 3 ranking.

01

A Finding uses rest of cohort to ask how this pattern compares with other known values in the same scope.

02

Confidence

03

Correlation

Platform, objective, audience, market, timing, and budget may confound the result; phrase the next move as a test, not automatic adoption.

04

Insights · AI interpretation

Explain this view interprets the current query; it does not change it

AI reads frozen group rows, evidence, and context to explain the current view. A Suggested Action appears only when it passes the Action eligibility guard.

01

Chapter 05 · Reports & Actions

Once evidence is clear, turn analysis into work the team can move forward

A reliable pattern is not yet team action. Next, freeze the analysis into a shareable Report or use the shared Composer to save a suggestion as an Action with source, scope, and a success metric.

01

From Chapter 04

You identified patterns through Findings or Explore and checked their credibility with Evidence and Confidence.

02

By the end

You can generate and share Reports, review Action suggestions, and manage the next step in Actions.

0529
