Starti Tutorial · Course 02
Course one turns an idea into publishable creative. This course continues the journey: connect media, publish assets, read results, validate patterns, and save the next move as an action.
One complete Publish → Results → Insights → Actions learning path.
Start with facts, find a pattern, validate it with evidence, then decide what to do next.
The product loop
Creative is both the output of the loop and the input to its next turn. Publish, Results, Insights, and Actions complete the handoffs in between.
Create new assets or iterate from the previous round of evidence.
Send Starti-generated creative to authorized media accounts.
What happened? Which creatives, campaigns, and metrics deserve attention?
Which creative patterns are associated with outcomes, and is the evidence sufficient and consistent?
Should the next move test, scale, refresh, or investigate?
A flexible starting point
If a customer already runs campaigns on Meta, TikTok, or Google Ads, they can connect existing accounts and pull accessible data directly into Results and Insights. Creatives without a Starti Publish relationship appear as Imported but still participate in performance analysis.
Compare existing creatives, campaigns, metrics, trends, and signals.
Identify testable patterns through Tags, Findings, and Evidence.
Save the conclusion as a test, refresh, or creative-production plan.
A reliable reading order
Confirm date, platform, and Ad Account first; every conclusion belongs to the applied scope.
Confirm metric definitions, aggregation unit, benchmark, and data quality.
Check sample quality, supporting creatives, counterexamples, and confounders.
Turn the conclusion into a testable hypothesis, target scope, and success metric.
Chapter 02 · Connect & Publish
You understand the Performance loop and its flexible entry points. Now connect media accounts to the workspace and see how Publish creates a traceable media identity for Starti creative.
You know that Creative or Results can be the starting point and how the modules form a continuous loop.
You can connect and manage ad accounts, publish creative, and confirm whether the provider handoff succeeded.
Prerequisite
Meta, Google Ads, and TikTok connections let you publish creative to selected accounts and query accessible campaign data in Results and Insights.
Use Connect in Onboarding Step 3, or Skip for now and return later.
Account settings → Ad Accounts: Manage accounts, Reauthorize, or remove a connection.
Only selected accounts that the current user can access enter reporting and creative sync.
Product media pending
Move from Connect to selecting accounts for reporting and creative sync.
P01-connect-and-select-accounts.mp4Account management
Authorization requests Video upload and Performance data; expired or under-permissioned accounts cannot be selected.
Select READY / CONNECTED ad accounts under each connection and confirm.
Accounts under that connection stop being available for reporting or sync; historical records are not the same as live access.
Product media pending
Connected platforms, account counts, and management controls.
P02-ad-accounts-overview.pngCreative → Publish
In the Publish workspace, select one or more generated creatives, then choose destination platforms and accounts. A successful record preserves the trusted link between the Starti material and provider asset.
Product media pending
Generated creatives with single and bulk publishing entry points.
P03-publish-workspace.pngSubmit and status
The job exists and upload is in progress; do not assume the provider asset is ready yet.
The provider asset ID is linked; Results can identify it as Published from Starti.
Repair the connection or permission, or retry based on status; inspect and Resync from Asset Details.
Product media pending
Choose destination platforms and accounts, then submit Publish.
P04-publish-to-platforms.mp4Chapter 03 · Results
The account and creative flows are ready. Before searching for explanations, establish the creatives, campaigns, metrics, trends, and states within one applied scope.
Ad accounts are connected, Starti creative can gain identity through Publish, and existing provider creative can enter analysis as Imported data.
You can query and expand Results and correctly interpret aggregated metrics, Trends, Performance Signals, and Creative Tags.
Results · Query
Date, Platform, and Ad Account use a two-stage Draft / Applied model. Editing does not query immediately; Apply moves the table, campaign breakdown, trends, and signals to the new scope together.
Default: Last 30 complete days, excluding today's partial provider data.
Multi-select Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and configured Other Networks.
Options follow Platform; All means all accessible accounts in the platform scope.
Product media pending
Edit draft filters, Apply, then expand a creative into campaign details.
P06-results-filter-and-expand.mp4Results · Read
Results aggregates across platforms and campaigns by creative. Expanding a creative reveals Platform, Ad Account, and Campaign details; parent and child rows each have their own independently computed signal.
Product media pending
Filters, creative aggregate rows, signals, and metric groups visible together.
P05-results-overview.pngResults · Metrics
Spend, Impressions, Clicks: investment and delivery opportunity.
CTR = Clicks / Impressions; CPM, CPC, and Cost / complete use aggregate totals.
Starts, 25% / 50% / 75% / 100%; Completion rate = 100% views / Starts.
A zero denominator returns an unavailable reason—not 0, Infinity, or a frontend guess.
Results · Trends
Daily aggregate for all matching creatives in the applied scope, independent of pagination.
Daily aggregate for the creative across matching campaigns, platforms, and accounts, with a comparable benchmark.
Locks Creative + Campaign + Platform + Ad Account so same-name campaigns are not merged.
Product media pending
Current period, previous-period change, daily trend, and comparable benchmark.
P07-results-trend-panel.pngPerformance Signal · Meaning
Positive effect versus the comparable cohort benchmark, with sufficient confidence and subgroup consistency.
Delivery is growing materially while outcome remains at benchmark and has not degraded beyond tolerance.
The primary metric has declined materially versus the adjacent prior period while delivery remains comparable.
None of the above: near benchmark, insufficient sample, mixed direction, or incomplete data. It is not automatically negative.
Product media pending
Metric, benchmark, and rationale for Winner / Scaling / Watch / Fatigue.
P08-signal-rationale.pngPerformance Signal · Calculation
direction × (Current − Benchmark) / |Benchmark|; cost metrics reverse direction so positive always means improvement.
direction × (Current − Previous) / |Previous|; Previous is adjacent, equal-length, and uses the same complete-day policy.
(Current delivery − Previous delivery) / |Previous delivery|; CTR uses Impressions, Completion uses Video starts.
Combines sample strength, subgroup consistency, temporal stability, and data quality; it is an evidence-quality score, not a probability.
Performance Signal · Rules
Compare with the adjacent equal-length prior period first. Fatigue requires meaningful outcome decline, comparable delivery, and sufficient evidence quality and subgroup consistency.
When delivery is growing materially while outcome remains at the comparable benchmark and prior-period degradation stays within tolerance, classify it as Scaling.
When current outcome clears the metric-specific positive materiality threshold versus its comparable cohort, with sufficient confidence and directional consistency, classify it as Winner.
Everything else becomes Watch, including near-benchmark results, mixed direction, insufficient sample, or limited data quality. Use the rationale to see what needs more observation.

P09-creative-preview-tags.mp4Chapter 04 · Insights
You have a reliable view of performance. Now bring Creative Tags and outcomes into the same analysis scope, using Findings, Explore, and Evidence to separate testable patterns from noise.
You have confirmed scope, creative and campaign composition, metric trends, Signal rationale, and Creative Tags.
You can read Findings, customize Explore patterns, and validate conclusions with Evidence, counterexamples, and Confidence.
Insights · Query context
Date, Platform, and Ad Account refresh Findings, Chart, Evidence, Retention, and unsaved suggestions after Apply.

Applied scope, AI Findings, Explore controls, and the main chart.
P10-insights-overview.pngInsights · Findings
The Finding Engine scans allowed Tag dimensions and outcome metrics across the full scope, validates sample, effect, stability, and data quality, then uses AI for controlled presentation and an Action suggestion. AI does not decide the numbers, eligibility, or Top 3 ranking.
Strong positive / negative, Platform-specific winner, Fatigue, Under-tested, Trade-off, and Transfer opportunity.
Each Finding has one primary outcome; Trade-off may add one comparison outcome.
A suggestion snapshot only; Create action opens the Composer, and saving creates the Action.
Product media pending
Inspect a Finding's outcome, confidence, caveats, and evidence scope.
P11-finding-drill-in.mp4Insights · Confidence
A Finding uses rest of cohort to ask how this pattern compares with other known values in the same scope.
Combines sample, subgroup consistency, temporal stability, tag quality, data quality, and concentration risk.
Platform, objective, audience, market, timing, and budget may confound the result; phrase the next move as a test, not automatic adoption.
Not a failure, and thresholds are never lowered to fill three cards; use Explore for a directed query.
Insights · Explore pattern
Choose an analyzable dimension such as Hook, CTA, Visual style, Editing style, or Duration.
Choose CTR, Completion rate, CPC, CPM, or Cost per complete.
Use a second dimension such as Platform to see whether the pattern holds only in a subgroup.
Switch among Impact ranking, Opportunity matrix, and Retention curve to answer different questions.

P14-evidence-preview.mp4Insights · AI interpretation
AI reads frozen group rows, evidence, and context to explain the current view. A Suggested Action appears only when it passes the Action eligibility guard.
After adjusting Group by / Outcome / Split by, confirm the chart and evidence are the view you mean to explain.
Click Explain this view; changing controls clears the old interpretation to prevent context mismatch.

P15-explain-and-create-action.mp4Chapter 05 · Reports & Actions
A reliable pattern is not yet team action. Next, freeze the analysis into a shareable Report or use the shared Composer to save a suggestion as an Action with source, scope, and a success metric.
You identified patterns through Findings or Explore and checked their credibility with Evidence and Confidence.
You can generate and share Reports, review Action suggestions, and manage the next step in Actions.
Insights · Generate report
No prompt required; the agent identifies the most important patterns, findings, and opportunities in scope.
Specify purpose, audience, key questions, metrics, creative patterns, or desired structure.
The report draft can change date, Platform, and Ad Account without changing the Insights page.
Optionally generate suggestions; each still requires review before it becomes an Action.

Chapter 06 · Complete the Loop
You have learned Publish, Results, Insights, Reports, and Actions individually. Finish with one end-to-end practice using the same creative, turning module knowledge into a repeatable working habit.
Analysis can now become a Report or an Action with Evidence, Source, and a success metric.
You can move from accounts and Publish through facts and evidence to a clear next action.
One complete practice run
Confirm the destination platform, account, and permissions in Ad Accounts.
Publish one generated creative, wait for Success, and remember its name.
Set the applied scope, find the Published from Starti row, expand Campaign, and inspect Trend / Signal / Tags.
Use a Finding or Explore to locate an associated pattern, then inspect evidence and counterexamples.
Open the Composer from a Finding, AI interpretation, or Report; define the success metric and save.
Course complete
Publish establishes identity and data flow; Results provides consistent facts; Insights links Tags with outcomes while preserving evidence; Actions sends the team back to the next creative iteration with scope, hypothesis, and a success metric.
